Planning & feasibility.
The most useful thing we do is tell you early whether a project is worth pursuing. A feasibility study tests the site, the budget, and the consent route before you spend on a full design.
A clear answer before you commit.
-
Site appraisal
Levels, orientation, access, overlooking, and the neighbours. What the ground will actually support.
-
Planning route
Whether the project needs consent, and what the authority is likely to ask for. We name the risk rather than smoothing it over.
-
Budget test
An order-of-cost figure against the brief, so you know whether the project is viable before the design fee grows.
-
Written report
A short document you keep, whatever you decide next. It is yours to use with any architect.
Sample scope for this starter. Replace with your own service description and stages.
What people ask us.
Is a feasibility study worth it?
If you are unsure whether a site will take the project you have in mind, yes. It is a small cost against the risk of designing something that cannot be built.
Will my project need planning permission?
Some work is permitted development and some is not. The answer depends on the site and the proposal, which is exactly what the study establishes.
Can the study be done remotely?
Mostly. We will want a site visit, but the analysis and the report can follow from there.
Not sure the site will work?
Send the address and what you are hoping to build. We will tell you what a feasibility study would cover, and what it would cost.
